Tutorial~Christmas Ornament
Ok this is my very first tutorial for my blog! I've done a tutorial for my DT but not for my blog. You ladies asked me to do a tutorial for these Christmas Ornaments. Well here it is. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making these cute little things. Have fun!
Step 1: Supplies: Paper Trimmer, Pattern Paper, hole punch, ribbon (2-3 foot), beads (optional)
Step 2: Fold your ribbon in half and tie a double knot to form your loop on the end. Like mine here. Slide a bead up your ribbon to the knot. As shown!
Step 3: I have 12 pieces layed out here but for this smaller version I used only 9 pieces of 1 inch by 4 inches stripes. Punch holes in both ends of your stripes. This is for your ribbon to go through.
Step 4 and 5: Step 4: Is what you piece looks like after you run the ribbon through one end of your ornament. Step 5: You flip your patttern paper over so that the design of your pp is facing away from you. Keep the paper stacked. You will be working from the botton of the stack which would be the first piece of pattern paper you placed on your ribbon. And you will continue to use the next piece you put on in the beginning. (NOTE if you need more organization you could number the back at the bottom with numbers. Just put 1 on the first piece you put on and go from there.)
Step 6: This is what it should look like after you've added a few pieces to start the form of your ornament.
Last Step: Place anothre bead on your ribbon draw it up to make your desire shape and tie a double knot again to keep it all held together.
Viola! Your finished with your Christmas Ornament. You can make these different sizes. The one I made in a below post was a 1 inch by 6 inch and you would use all the 12 stripes for it. But this smaller version I only used 9 pieces of 1 inch by 4 inches. So you see you can make different sizes. Just have fun and I do hope this helps you out.
Here's the link I have to the tutorial I used. You know where my idea came from. This is my version.
