Here's my first reveal for the month of JULY for Scrapbook Dreamer. I combined this using the newest sketch over at Inspirational Card Sketches #24. Go check out the DT cards as well. They all did a fantastic job using the same sketch.

ScrapbookDreamer.com is looking for a few 'Dream Girls'!! Are you passionate about scrap booking? Do you want to be a Dream Girl?

To Be A Dream Girl You Must:

1. Upload at least two layouts and one additional project of your choice (card, tag or another layout) and complete them on time. Your creations are to be posted in the ScrapbookDreamer.com gallery along with details about each project, products used and any special techniques such as paper tearing, painting, stamping, inking, distressing, ect. in your description.

2. Post one scrapbook related challenge to the forum per month and track it's progress.

3. One scrapbook related article or review every three months with clear pictures. The article can be a how-to or an article about the latest trends in scrapbooking. You will reserve the right to said articles and how-to's with the express permission that they are to be used by ScrapbookDreamer.com for at least 6 months and cannot be posted by you to any other site during that period of time. ScrapbookDreamer.com further reserves the right to include those articles and how-too's on the main site, in news letters and on the blog.

4. Positive and encouraging participation in our Gallery & Forum (25 posts minimum each) along with participation in our online events such as crops, chats or classes. Our goal is to be an active, friendly site.

5. Advertise ScrapbookDreamer.com on Yahoo or MSN Groups as well as your blog if you have one and anywhere else it is acceptable to do so. This can be a simple, "Have you seen what's new at ScrapbookDreamer.com?", "Come to my chat!", "Did you see my layout….?". Be sure to include a full link back to the site so people can find what you are talking about easily. Be sure to add Design Team Member for ScrapbookDreamer.com in your signature line when possible.

6. Communicate with Owner and Design Team Coordinator about absences due to illness or vacation.

7. Finally, a six-month commitment to give ScrapbookDreamer.com your best and to help make it a wonderful friendly site.

Here is what you will get in return:

1. A 25% off retail discount on MOST purchases from ScrapbookDreamer.com. Very few things are exceptions!
2. A $25 Gift Certificate for you to purchase items from the store each month. You keep all materials. Completed projects are yours.
3. Bio and photo on the website.

Submission Process:

You need to register on our forum and post at least 15 times during the DT Call so we can get to know you. You also need to upload your creations in our gallery under DT Call 2009. You can upload as many times as you would like. It is important that you include your name & user ID when uploading to the gallery so that we can properly identify you and your work. After you have submitted to the gallery you will need to email us (more info below) the questionnaire.

Complete the following and email to: laura@scrapbookdreamer.com Please put DT CALL in the subject line.

• Name, mailing address, phone number, email address
• Your screen name
• Scrapbook Resume if you have one (not required)

CP #20 Thank You

I know I'm very late but I still went ahead an created a card using #20 over at Card Patterns. I loved that sketch and wanted to use it something horrible. LOL! Anyways here it is.

Wahooo New Computer

So sorry I've been mostly MISSING IN ACTION on my blog. On June 15th my old computer was hit by lighting. So we had to buy a new computer and then wait for it to arrive. Well it finally arrived yesterday on the FedEx Truck. Wahooo I'm so excited. We had been using the daughters computer but it wasn't protected cause she doesn't use it for the internet. So we had to keep it safe for a while until this one came in. I'm so glad to have my own computer again.

I will catch up on everyones blogs as soon as I can. You all mean the world to me. Have a lovely day!

Natures' Beauty

I combined this layout with two totally different challenges. Over at Simply Obsessed that challenge was to do some fussy cutting. My fussy cutting is the flowers cut from some Basic Grey papers. Also the challenge over at Scrapbook Dreamer where you had to use scallops, buttons, tearing, two photo's and handmade embellie (my is the center of my main flower).

Scrapbook Dreamer DT Reveals (May)

The theme for this months project are: Graduation, Prom, Mother's Day/Mom, Favorite Things, Fondest Memories. I went with Mother's Day/Mom. I love both my mom and mother-in-law they are both very special to me. So the first layout is of my mother-in-law and the second layout is of my mother. Anyways I love the outcome of both layouts. Couldn't be happier.

Over at Urban Anthology our Bonus Challenge #3 was to create a card using someone else sketch from Bonus Challenge #2. I chose to do DMisner lovely sketch that she had created. I love the placement and layers. The only thing I did was rotate the sketch to the right once.

Here's my next layout for my run for the Design Team over at Urban Anthology. The challenge 3 was to Create an eco-friendly layout showcasing at least TWO “green” tips, techniques, and/or products. Get creative and really WOW us with your ability to repurpose, recycle, reuse, and reinvent!
Recycle: I have a lot of cardboard that I've saved from packaging from different things. Here I've used it on top of my cardstock by stitching it down instead of using adhesive. Also I used scraps materials from the felt to the pattern papers on this layout. By using up the larger scrap pieces of pp I didn't cut into a new sheet of pp wether it was older or newer. Reuse: A couple of years ago I bought MM Philadelphia Foam Stamps because they were on the rage. Once I got them I've only used them 3 times. So I pull them out of my closet and painted them up and stamped my title. Woohoo. I needed to spruce up my title by adding some bling flowers that I got in a RAK a couple of months ago. Repurpose: I took the felt scrap piece an cut out 5 half circles and then stitched them together by hand. Added a button that I tied some crochet thread through the holes and adhere with a pop dot.

We would have a challenge inspired by all those lovely chocolate treats you will be scoffing into hehe, so this week we would like you to take inspiration from your favourite Chocolates :), so say your favourite chocolate is Mint chocolate, well you could then base the colours of your card on this so your card would be Brown and Green :), sounds scrumptious doesn't it, i cant wait to see you chocolate inspired creations this week, but please don't forget to use at least one item from BasicGrey on your creation.
