Wahooo New Computer

So sorry I've been mostly MISSING IN ACTION on my blog. On June 15th my old computer was hit by lighting. So we had to buy a new computer and then wait for it to arrive. Well it finally arrived yesterday on the FedEx Truck. Wahooo I'm so excited. We had been using the daughters computer but it wasn't protected cause she doesn't use it for the internet. So we had to keep it safe for a while until this one came in. I'm so glad to have my own computer again.

I will catch up on everyones blogs as soon as I can. You all mean the world to me. Have a lovely day!

Oh my I'm so excited to say that I've been chosen as part of Scrapbooks N Stuff Design Team. I'm so on cloud 9 to say the least. I'll be joined by some other amazingly talented ladies. Can't wait to get started. WOOOOHOOOOO!

I Won 2nd Place JB Contest!

Over at ScrapFreak last month they had a contest using Jenni Bowlin products. You had to use at least three products from JB on your creations whether it be layouts, (4) cards and altered items. I won with my set of cards and SECOND PLACE! Woohoooo I'm excited! Can't wait to get my package of JB products that I won for the contest! Missing in Action~Ice Storm

Well needless to say we finally lost power. Sometime Wednesday night we lost it. Was out of power all day Thursday, Thursday night and it finally came back on around noon today (Fri~Jan 30th). Boy we were just tickled. But my in-laws have been out of power since Tuesday of this week and they don't expect it to be back on till next week. I hate to see anyone without power. My husband took our generator over for them to use.

It will be quite some time before the kids will go back to school. The ice around here is 2 an half inches thick. Just slightly south of us got up to 4 inches of ice. It's not a pretty picture around here. Trees have lost their tops and some so bad they will have to be cut completely down. Which is the case for some of our trees in our yard. The husband has been working two days getting some of them cleaned up. But it will be a long process.

Here's a few nice lovely ice photo's around our homeplace. This is what we woke up to this morning. We have a nice thick layer of ice underneath the snow. WE got about 3 inches of ice and 2-3 inches of snow. So far we've been real lucky to still have power but my in-laws on the other side of town doesn't.

GDT for Treasured Scrapbooking

I almost forgot to post this but I have some really amazing news. I tried out for the DT over at Treasured Scrapbooking. I didn't get it which by the way upset me quite a bit but I was offered to a Guest Designer spot for the month of December. I'm delighted with this as I really really love Treasured Scrapbooking. Its the coolest place to be. I tell you what the gals over there are amazing and just so full of talent it will knock your socks off. I kid you not. Head on over there if you don't believe me. They also have some really amazing KITS and you can go right here for that. Have a look around you might find something your just have to get your hands on.

I guess I will have to up my game next go around for the DT. I'll just have to do some serious thinking about it. I have 6 months to think it over.

Welcome to Scrapbook Dreamers 'Dream You're a ScrapStar' Contest!


I have covered each Design Team member with Dream dust which has allowed me to invade their dreams to find out what they truly dream about....and I have found out some fabulous and useful bits of scrappy goodness! Boy do they dream about scrapbooking! So I thought "what would I do with all this awesome info?" Why I thought I would host a contest! Do you dream about being a scrap star? If you do, this contest is for you....

Here is all the info!

1) Each Monday (by 5 pm) starting September 15th I will post 5 items that two of the design team have dreamt about (10 total) and a mystery item (theme, technique etc) that have really been on their minds. You MUST create a layout using 5 of these items AND the mystery item and post it in the 'Dream You're a Scrap Star' folder in the gallery before that Saturday at noon.

2) the design team will then vote and the winners will go onto the next round. The advancing members will be posted on Monday along with the next sets of 'dream items'

3) all layouts must be NEW and created for this contest and must not be posted in any other galleries until the contest is over. Please include a list of materials used when uploading into the gallery

4) This is a 5-week Contest/Challenge & requires your commitment to complete each challenge. If you do not or cannot complete a challenge, you will be disqualified.

5) All questions or concerns should be submitted to me via PM

We had to scrap trends that were HOT or we like. The trends I thought were hot was bubble wrap stamping technique, bling, 3-D dimensions and cut work. I sad to say this LO didn't get me the Design Team over at The Mosy Scrapper. But I did get a Guest Design Team Spot and I'm thrilled cause it will be very first GDT ever. My spot will be for the month of February 2009. Woohooo thanks Christa and April for the wonderful opportunity.

Why I've been MIA!

Hello ladies! I'M BACK! OMG it's so very wonderful to be back online! I missed you gals! A week ago Thursday (Apr 3) night we had some very serious lighting and thunderstorms through the night. I mean way bad storms. We didn't think it was gonna be to bad when we went to bed that night. But it was. Of course we didn't unhook anything. Because it take up to two days to get our DSL hooked back up. So hubby being that last on that night just left everything hooked up. Woke up the next morning came in here where the computer was. And we had absolutely no DSL. It got fried. Found this out when hubby tore apart the DSL box. My PC was totally fine but not the DSL. We had everything plugged up to the same outlet. But only our DSL got hit. Go figure! Hubby bought two DSL modems off EBAY. Took them 4 days to get here after buying them. Worked on them and called CenturyTel for some numbers and the guy was a complete JERK said we didn't need any numbers. Still wouldn't work. So gave up. Well yesterday hubby called back and a lady gave us the numbers we needed to get it working. And VIOLA it works. So the guy was a complete JERK! So here I am BACK! I'm so way behind! I will get caught up I hope! And let me tell you its so wonderful to be back online! I just can't tell you. I've been so bored out of my mind! LOL!! HUGS TO ALL OF YOU!
