ICS #25/Scrapbooks N Stuff July 13th Reveals

For my cards I made using items from the Scrapbooks N Stuff Store, the papers are Crate Paper 'Lemon Grass' Collection and Primas Flowers. First card here was inspired by ICS #25 (this weeks sketch), hop on over and have a spin at the sketch.

Second card was inspired by Papertake Weekly Challenge #17 (I believe). I didn't get time to get it post over there when the challenge was running. But I went ahead with it anyways cause I really liked the sketch. The image was from a very dear friend Kim C.

I know I'm very late but I still went ahead an created a card using #20 over at Card Patterns. I loved that sketch and wanted to use it something horrible. LOL! Anyways here it is.

Wahooo New Computer

So sorry I've been mostly MISSING IN ACTION on my blog. On June 15th my old computer was hit by lighting. So we had to buy a new computer and then wait for it to arrive. Well it finally arrived yesterday on the FedEx Truck. Wahooo I'm so excited. We had been using the daughters computer but it wasn't protected cause she doesn't use it for the internet. So we had to keep it safe for a while until this one came in. I'm so glad to have my own computer again.

I will catch up on everyones blogs as soon as I can. You all mean the world to me. Have a lovely day!

Natures' Beauty

I combined this layout with two totally different challenges. Over at Simply Obsessed that challenge was to do some fussy cutting. My fussy cutting is the flowers cut from some Basic Grey papers. Also the challenge over at Scrapbook Dreamer where you had to use scallops, buttons, tearing, two photo's and handmade embellie (my is the center of my main flower).

Scrapbook Dreamer DT Reveals (May)

The theme for this months project are: Graduation, Prom, Mother's Day/Mom, Favorite Things, Fondest Memories. I went with Mother's Day/Mom. I love both my mom and mother-in-law they are both very special to me. So the first layout is of my mother-in-law and the second layout is of my mother. Anyways I love the outcome of both layouts. Couldn't be happier.

Over at Urban Anthology our Bonus Challenge #3 was to create a card using someone else sketch from Bonus Challenge #2. I chose to do DMisner lovely sketch that she had created. I love the placement and layers. The only thing I did was rotate the sketch to the right once.

Diva Chick Haley

Here's my next layout for my run for the Design Team over at Urban Anthology. The challenge 3 was to Create an eco-friendly layout showcasing at least TWO “green” tips, techniques, and/or products. Get creative and really WOW us with your ability to repurpose, recycle, reuse, and reinvent!
Recycle: I have a lot of cardboard that I've saved from packaging from different things. Here I've used it on top of my cardstock by stitching it down instead of using adhesive. Also I used scraps materials from the felt to the pattern papers on this layout. By using up the larger scrap pieces of pp I didn't cut into a new sheet of pp wether it was older or newer. Reuse: A couple of years ago I bought MM Philadelphia Foam Stamps because they were on the rage. Once I got them I've only used them 3 times. So I pull them out of my closet and painted them up and stamped my title. Woohoo. I needed to spruce up my title by adding some bling flowers that I got in a RAK a couple of months ago. Repurpose: I took the felt scrap piece an cut out 5 half circles and then stitched them together by hand. Added a button that I tied some crochet thread through the holes and adhere with a pop dot.

We would have a challenge inspired by all those lovely chocolate treats you will be scoffing into hehe, so this week we would like you to take inspiration from your favourite Chocolates :), so say your favourite chocolate is Mint chocolate, well you could then base the colours of your card on this so your card would be Brown and Green :), sounds scrumptious doesn't it, i cant wait to see you chocolate inspired creations this week, but please don't forget to use at least one item from BasicGrey on your creation.
